A Newcomer’s Guide to Blogging
First we need to discuss exactly what a blog is and then we can look at how they are used as a medium to make money. So a blog is basically an online journal where you can write your thoughts and ideas in fact anything of interest to you or anyone else out there. Blogs come in different styles, formats, and settings, depending on the preference of the creator. Many blogging sites also offer additional features such as links, straight texts, pictures etc. Some sites, even allow you to put video and mp3’s onto the blogs.

comments can allow readers to post a comment on your blog, sometimes good but often bad due to spamming which can slow your work down with you having to monitor and remover any spam comments. Comments arte also another way of introducing links and back links from one site to another.
One of the key points to running a blog, is that it is made of only a few simple templates or pages. Unlike standard websites which can be made up from multiple pages. Over the last few years a platform called wordpress has made it extremely easy to make a blog with templates and a whole support base making wordpress blogs a much easier thing to accomplish. There are even plugins which make running a blog even easier and automated to a certain extent.
This is especially useful for first time users, since they can start blogging almost straight away and they can chose from a variety of different templates from a number of creators who also offer paid versions with even more features to make the blog run even easier.
Some bloggers even use their blogs as a means to advertise. Things such as books or videos can be advertised while other blogs shed light on currents issues, events, news and catastrophes.
Education can also be involved with blogs and can play an important part of a kids development and their Professors use blogging to prepare and document the lessons which they have discussed and taught. This way, students can catch up with their assignments.
Many entrepreneurs now explore the merits of blogging and promote their businesses through their blogs taking advantage of the many people who are now turning to the internet for information and answers to multiple problems, making blogging a very lucrative and wise move. There are different methods to making money with a blog, you can obviously sell your products or simply advertise other websites, activities or even sell advertising space or traffic if they are generating sufficient.
Some people live extraordinary lives and are willing to set up a blog as a personal journal. This is where a person can document their daily struggle in life, poems, rants, or opinions. They find that blogging offers them a medium in which to express themselves. Some have even used blogging as medium to advertise the fact that a member of the family or community is sick and they are able to raise the awareness and even raise funds
Bloggers generally communicate within their own circles which is one of the appeals of blogging, it generates a whole family of people sharing their ideas, thoughts, and comments with each other. The subjects, themes, and designs make a totally individual blogging network almost as varied as the topics, people spend hundreds of dollars creating them just the way they want.
Once a blog is complete and despite there being no current guidelines a completed blog can be submitted to a blog directory and this is a great place to start if you are considering setting up a blog of your own.
